Distribute Plug-ins
Avid has specific requirements for plugs-ins that will be sold on the Avid Marketplace. Please follow the checklist below to help us process your plug-in approval request as quickly as possible.
Testing and Getting Approval for your Plug-in

Read the basic plug-in requirements.
* 
Follow the specifications for product packaging.
* 
Go to the Avid developer website and download the necessary utilities to qualify your plug-in.
Look for DigiShell Tools for Windows or Mac. This download includes the Validator Tool for running predetermined tests on AAX plug-ins.

Click the link alongside and look for AAX Plug-in Burnthrough Grid.
This download includes the Plug-in "Burnthrough" grid which is a comprehensive suite of tests that Avid's SQA department employs to fully test the functionality of a plug-in or third party product with Pro Tools.
* 
Run the Validator tool against your AAX plug-in.
 
* 
Open the AAX Burnthrough Grid and review the qualitative tests. These tests must be run manually and the grid filled out as required.
 
* 
Add a product to your portfolio and submit it for approval.
