Pro Tools | First Main Windows

Pro Tools | First provides two complementary ways of viewing tracks:

• Mix Window

Shows tracks as channel strips, like a mixing board (see “Mix Window” on page 54).

• Edit Window

Shows tracks and track material against the Timeline (see “Edit Window” on page 55).

To toggle between the Mix and Edit windows, press Command+Equals (=) (Mac) or Control+Equals (=) (Windows).

Pro Tools | First provides several other types of windows:

• Transport Window

Lets you control the transport and transport-related functions (see “Transport Window” on page 58).

• Plug-in Windows

Let you control plug-in parameters, such as Frequency and Q for an EQ (see “Plug-In Windows” on page 637).

• MIDI Editor Window

Lets you edit MIDI data (see “MIDI Editor” on page 434).

• Workspace Browsers

Let you manage, audition, and import media for projects (see “Workspace Browsers” on page 117).
