Pro Tools | First Projects : Signing in to your MyAvid Account

Signing in to your MyAvid Account
You will have already created you MyAvid account when you downloaded, and installed and authorized Pro Tools | First. The first time you launch Pro Tools | First, you are prompted to sign in. You must be online to be able to sign in. Subsequent logins to your account do not necessarily require an Internet connection unless you need to upload or download project data.
To sign in to your Avid account:
1. When you first launch Pro Tools | First, you are prompted to sign in to your MyAvid account.
*You can also sign-in from the PACE Activation Window or the Avid Application Manager. Avid Application Manager is automatically installed with Pro Tools | First. For more information, see the Avid Application Manager Guide.
2. Enter your login credentials.
Once your credentials are validated, the Dashboard lets you Create a new project or Open an existing project. Your sign-in status is displayed in the upper right of the Dashboard, Edit Window, or Application Manager.
*You can be signed on in multiple locations, however, you will not be able to open the same project. The project must be saved and closed on the account so that the project data can be uploaded before it is opened on another system.
Dashboard, Sign In
To sign out from your account:
1. Select Sign Out from the Pro Tools Dashboard, Avid Application Manager, or deselect File > Sign Out.
When you sign out from your account, your project is automatically saved. If a media transfer or other process is in progress, you will be prompted to either cancel the sign-out or cancel the process.
The login screen also has a Keep Me Signed In option. If this is selected, you will remain signed in even when Pro Tools | First quits to allow any transfers to complete.
