Installing Pro Tools | First
Before installing Pro Tools | First, refer to the Pro Tools | First Read Me included with the installer.
You must also install any drivers for your audio interface(s) before installing Pro Tools | First.
To install Pro Tools | First on Mac:
1. Download the installer for Mac from your Avid account. After downloading, make sure the installer is uncompressed (.dmg).
2. Locate and double-click the Pro Tools | First installer disk image.
3. Locate and double-click the Pro Tools | First installer.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue installation.
5. Once the installation is complete, click Close.
To install Pro Tools | First on Windows:
1. Download the installer for Windows from your Avid account. After downloading, make sure the installer is uncompressed (.ZIP).
2. Locate and double-click the Pro Tools | First installer.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue installation.
5. Once the installation is complete, click Finish.
