Pro Tools | First can import the clip group file format (.rgrp). This lets you do the following:
Separate clip group metadata from audio files to avoid unnecessary file copy operations when exporting audio clip groups composed from multiple source files.
Export MIDI data as part of a clip group.
Create multitrack loops.
Clip group files store the following metadata:
References to all audio files within the clip group
Clip names and relative location in tracks
Embedded fades and crossfades
Clip group names and format (single or multitrack)
All MIDI data present in the clip group (such as notes, controllers, and Sysex)
Track names
Elastic Audio Warp markers and TCE factor
Clip timebase (samples or ticks)
Sync points
Loops
Tempo map
Clip group files do not store the following:
Audio
Automation
Plug-Ins
Track routing
Meter map
Clips List information
