ACID files and REX 1 and 2 files are converted to WAV. For REX files only, Pro Tools uses any slice data to create Elastic Audio Event markers with 100% confidence. ACID files are analyzed for Elastic Audio events just like WAV files, and so events are detected with varying degrees of confidence.
